Launch23 runs from February to June 2027.

Once registered, students will work through an online support course designed to help them develop, test and strengthen their ideas while preparing for the Launch23 competition.

Throughout the spring, students will receive guidance, feedback, guest speaker opportunities and access to Okanagan College student mentors.

The goal is simple: build a great idea, test it, improve it and get ready to pitch it.

February 2027: Launch23 Begins

 

Registration closes and students begin the online support course. Start exploring ideas, identifying problems worth solving and developing your product, service or social enterprise.

March–April 2027: Develop, Test & Improve

 

Talk with potential customers, test your assumptions, develop a prototype and use feedback to strengthen your idea. Guest speakers and mentorship opportunities will take place throughout this stage.

 

May 2027: Build Your Pitch & School Quarterfinals

 

Turn everything you have learned into a clear, confident presentation. Practise your pitch and receive feedback before presenting at your school’s quarterfinals.

Each participating school will hold its own quarterfinals to determine which students and teams advance to the district semifinals. Your school will share the date and details well in advance, giving advancing participants time to refine their pitches before the June 1 semifinals.

Tuesday, June 1, 2027: Launch23 Semifinals

 

Students and teams who advance from their school quarterfinals will present their ideas to a panel of judges. Finalists will be selected to move on to the Launch23 Finale.

Pitches begin at 5:00 p.m. and wrap up by 8:00 p.m.

 

Thursday, June 10, 2027: Launch23 Finale

 

Finalists take the stage to present their ideas, celebrate their work and compete in the 2027 Launch23 Finale.
